🧳 For Renters

What is NomadHomeGR?

NomadHomeGR is a platform connecting digital nomads and expats looking for mid-term accommodation in Greece with homeowners offering properties for longer stays.

Instead of handling bookings like a traditional accommodation platform, we help you discover properties and connect directly with the homeowner.

How long can I rent a property for?

NomadHomeGR focuses on mid-term stays, typically from a few weeks to several months.

Each homeowner sets their own minimum and maximum stay, so check the individual listing for availability and rental terms.

Do I have to pay a booking fee?

No. NomadHomeGR does not charge renters a booking fee or commission for connecting with homeowners.

You should always check the rental terms with the homeowner, including rent, deposit, utilities, and any other costs.

How do I contact a homeowner?

Open a property you’re interested in and use the Contact Owner or Message option.

You can ask about availability, pricing, the property, the neighborhood, Wi-Fi, utilities, or anything else that is important to you.

Can I negotiate the rent?

You can discuss the rental terms directly with the homeowner.

Whether the price, minimum stay, utilities, deposit, or other terms are negotiable is entirely up to the homeowner.

Does NomadHomeGR handle the booking?

No. NomadHomeGR is designed to connect renters and homeowners directly.

Once you find a property you’re interested in, you and the homeowner discuss the details and agree on the rental arrangements between yourselves.

Does NomadHomeGR handle payments?

NomadHomeGR does not currently process rental payments between renters and homeowners.

Before sending any money, make sure you understand exactly what you’re paying for and have agreed on the rental terms in writing.

How can I make sure a property is legitimate?

We recommend doing your own checks before committing to a rental.

Ask questions, verify the property and location, request a video tour if you cannot visit in person, and where appropriate ask the homeowner to demonstrate that they own or are authorized to rent the property.

Never send money simply because you’re being pressured to act quickly.

For more advice, see our Safety page.

What should I ask a homeowner before renting?

Some useful questions include:

  • Is the property available for my entire stay?
  • What is included in the monthly rent?
  • Are electricity, water and internet included?
  • How much is the deposit?
  • Is there a minimum stay?
  • What are the check-in and check-out arrangements?
  • Is the Wi-Fi suitable for remote work?
  • Are pets allowed?
  • Are there any additional costs?
  • Is there a written rental agreement?

Can I save properties I’m interested in?

If you have an account, you can use the available favorites functionality to keep track of properties you’re considering.

We may review the report and take appropriate action under our policies.

Why doesn’t NomadHomeGR handle bookings?

Our goal is to keep things simple, direct and flexible.

Many mid-term rentals involve questions and arrangements that are different from a typical short-term booking. By connecting homeowners and renters directly, both sides can discuss the details and decide whether the arrangement works for them.

What makes NomadHomeGR different?

Free listings. No booking fees. Direct communication. Mid-term homes.

We’re building a platform specifically for people who want to live somewhere for a while — not just visit for a few nights.
